wow - school year over!

well - it's been a while since i last posted! end of school year - you teachers know how that goes - and i'm still not done!

going back into the classroom after spending the past year as a social studies interventionist - position was changed from serving high school teachers at 4 high schools to serving teachers in grades 6 through 12 - aaaggghhhh! not for me! i missed the daily interaction with kids and the thrill of coming up with quirky ideas every day so I'M BACK!

hope everyone's summer is starting off with a bang! it is HOT!

Ah!! So I spent 3 hours last night going "Ahhhhh!" "oooooooo" - "you look gorgeous" - "what a handsome tux" = luv luv luv it! The prom renews hope in young America - kids so respectful and self-assured - confident - loving!

the after spring blues????

Ok - so it's MONDAY and I'm finishing up our pacing guide for U.S. History! Although i did RELAX over spring break, read 4 novels, planted flowers and cleaned out my closet I would have loved Easter monday off! aaaggghhhh!

Found out about flocabulary.com - the coolest site - educational raps - yippee stuff! Discovered wix.com - free website creation with very cool stuff! try it out and as always check out looneyteachr.com - i added some super videos!!

I am soooo excited! I've made changes to my website looneyteachr.com ! Wooo! Hooo! You can now download song and video clips and I'll be adding even more! I've also added more classroom strategies and a writing lesson to eliminate the fear of writing a thesis statement!~! check it out!!
